New Members
Each year, the Junior League of Greater Springfield (JLGS) offers a New Member Course during which our new members have the opportunity
to learn about the JLGS and our mission of community support and service.

- Pay annual membership dues ($140, which covers New Member class and first active year)
- Attend Super Saturdays, two orientation-like programs held in September and November for fall classes, or January and March for spring classes
- Attend all general membership meetings (fourth Tuesday of each month) during new member period
- Participate in one league fundraising activity
- Participate in the New Member project, which is determined by each class
Active MembersActive Members are those women who, having successfully completed the New Member class, are now trained volunteers, working in the community, helping to raise and disburse funds back to the community, and helping with the internal functions and organization of the league.

Senior Active MembersSenior Active Members are those women who has been an active member of the Junior League for five years (excluding leaves of absence or sabbaticals).

Sustaining Members
Sustainers are former Active members who have completed at least seven years of active service. Sustainers have no official requirements aside from annual dues ($100 for sustainers younger than 65, $60 for sustainers 65 and older) but often participate by assisting a committee or placement with their advice and experience.
