The Junior League of Greater Springfield is a nonprofit organization of women committed to promoting voluntarism, developing the potential of women, and improving the Greater Springfield community through effective action and trained leadership. In furtherance of this mission, the Junior League of Greater Springfield established this $4,000 Scholarship to advance its mission by empowering young women who exemplify voluntarism, leadership, and a dedication to improving their communities.

2026 College Scholarship Program

  • Applicants must:

    • Identify as female

    • Attend school in Hampden, Hampshire, or Franklin County

    • Maintain a GPA of 3.0 or higher

    • Complete 20 hours of community service yearly

    • Plan to attend a 2 year or 4 year college and provide written verification of college acceptance upon request

    ​Each completed application will be considered by the Scholarship Committee made up of members of the Junior League of Greater Springfield. Children of Junior League members will not be considered for this scholarship.

    The Junior League reaches out to women who demonstrate an interest in and commitment to voluntarism without regard to race, color, creed, ancestry, religion, national origin, age, military or veteran status, handicap, sexual orientation, disability or any other legally protected status.

  • April 15, 2026   

  • Completed scholarship applications must be submitted via email for consideration. Please email the completed application and all required supporting materials to jlgs.scholarship@gmail.com by the submission deadline above. Applications should include “Applicant Full Name - Scholarship” in the subject line. Incomplete or late submissions may not be considered. Applicants will be notified once the review process has concluded.

  • The winning applicant will be contacted by the Scholarship Committee and recognized at our Annual Meeting (date is TBD). ​Scholarship recipient attendance at this meeting is strongly encouraged. Good luck to all of our applicants!
